Glass and lighting
Clear glass, bronze or black glass, and LED strip lighting can go on doors or shelves. Quoted as separate lines on the same itemised quote.
Storage for joss sticks, candles and books
Drawers and shelves below or beside the altar hold incense, candles, books and offerings. We plan the layout at measurement.
How We Settle the Size
Many families get the size and position from their master or temple, including auspicious Lu Ban ruler sizes. Tell us those numbers and we build to them. If you have none yet, we suggest sizes at the free site measurement (on jobs from $3,000).
Near the incense burner we prefer heat-resistant, easy-clean surfaces. We discuss the finish at measurement. We do not give feng shui or religious advice. We build what you and your master confirm.

The combined order must be $3,000 or more. A small altar on its own usually falls short, so it goes with other carpentry such as a wardrobe or kitchen. We build new factory carpentry only. We do not do refurbishment.
Production takes about 3 to 5 weeks. Installation takes about 5 to 10 working days. We quote the time it actually takes, not the fastest possible.
Yes. Send us the floor plan and we price an indicative range from it. After key collection we measure on site and issue the firm itemised quote.
No. We build new factory carpentry. We do not repair, reface, repaint, or patch what is already in the house. Replacing a whole run with new cabinets is new work, and we still only take it if the combined order is $3,000 or more.
Yes. The whole order must be $3,000 or more. Bedroom, living room, kitchen and other pieces in the same visit can add up to that. A combined order under $3,000, we do not quote on site and we do not visit. Per-room from-prices under $3,000 are fine when they are part of a larger brief.
After you tell us what you want built, we give you an indicative range from our published rate card, and you are OK with that number. The visit is still free. The firm itemised quote follows within 24 hours of it. We do not visit first and price later.
